Matcha Bowl Wheel Throwing Workshop with Pink Crescent Matcha
About the Workshop
We're making matcha bowls on the wheel and will be joined by our friends at Pink Crescent Cafe serving up hand-mixed matchas for attendees. This workshop is for folks with little to no experience on the pottery wheel and a passion for matcha <3
In your one-off wheel workshop you will get:
- hand-blended matcha from Pink Crescent
- a lesson on how to throw a matcha bowl on the wheel
-
two pre-centered 1 lb balls of clay (centering is the hardest part, we get it out of the way for you
-
a glazed, food-safe vessel, made with your very own hands
Once you leave, don't worry about your pot! We will finish it, fire it, and glaze it in whatever food-safe glaze you choose :) We’ll send an email when they’re ready - you can typically expect them 2-3 weeks after your date.
About Pink Crescent
Pink Crescent is an Austin-based matcha and wellness pop-up founded by Texas State Alumni’s Mariam Wague and Selma Elmenayer. What started as two friends making matcha has grown into a community-centered experience that brings people together through thoughtfully crafted drinks and intentional gatherings. Our pop-ups are designed to feel like more than simply grabbing a matcha; we want every experience to feel warm, beautiful, social, and memorable.
For the September 19th event, guests can expect to experience Pink Crescent up close - from the ritual of whisking matcha and building each drink to enjoying one of our handcrafted specialty matchas while connecting and creating together.
