Karly “k-scheezy” Schlievert is a sculptural artist from central Texas. She received a BFA in Ceramics from Texas State University with a minor in Gender Studies, which often influences the conceptual side of their work. After completing a degree in the midst of a global pandemic, Karly took to becoming involved in the local art community in San Marcos. She joined the Board of the San Marcos Art League in 2021, and has since become the Director of the league’s monthly fine art market, Art Squared, in downtown SMTX.

Currently, Karly works out of Dunbar Recreation Center, where she teaches ceramics classes through the City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department, and sits on multiple boards and committees such as San Marcos Studio Tour and the Texas State University System Public Art Committee.
