ABOUT THE CLASS:
This intensive one-day workshop focuses on the potter’s wheel as a space for developing solid technical foundations and greater awareness of working with clay.
Starting from fundamental throwing techniques, Luca will guide participants through exercises aimed at building control, sensitivity, and consistency on the wheel. Regardless of individual experience level, the workshop will focus on developing a shared vocabulary of core skills that allow each participant to become more autonomous in their practice.
A central aspect of the work will be developing awareness of how the hands interact with and move the clay on the wheel. Through demonstrations, guided exercises, and individual feedback, participants will explore how small adjustments in touch, pressure, and timing directly affect the material.
The workshop is designed as an intensive laboratory: a space to strengthen technical foundations while deepening the understanding of the physical dialogue between hands, wheel, and clay.
