Studio policies
Ages 18+
Have you always wanted to try the pottery wheel but not sure where to start? This class is designed just for you! We will break wheel throwing down into simple, approachable steps so you can build confidence on your very first try. Students will learn basic throwing, trimming, and glazing techniques and can expect to leave this class with things like (potentially wonky and small) mugs, bowls, and planters. Most importantly, you will gain a solid foundation in the basics of wheel throwing so you can continue your clay journey with confidence.
Refunds are available up to two weeks before the start date of your class less a $15 processing fee. No refunds or transfers are able to be issued past that point.
If you are new to the Club House, attendance at the first class of the session is mandatory
Open studio
Open studio hours will be offered every week after the first week of class plus an additional few open studios after the session has ended to complete glazing. Open Studio will be non-instructional studio time for enrolled students to work on their projects and is offered at no additional cost to students. Enrollment for open studio days will open one week prior.
Supplies
Price does not include clay or tools. We only allow students to use one of the 4 clay bodies we carry in our shop: Cinco Rojo, Cino Blanco, Buffalo Wallow and Speckled Buff. If you would like us to provide you with a bag of clay and / or a pottery toolkit, those can be purchased now or on our Supplies Page at any point in time and we will have them ready for you on your first day.
