Studio policies
Ages 18+
Full refunds are available up to two weeks before the start date of your class. No refunds are able to be issued past that point.
If you are new to the Club House, attendance at the first class of the session is mandatory
Please note, due to kiln space, our size limits for coil and hand building is 13"x13"x15", anything larger must have prior approval.
Experience
No previous experience is necessary! This class will explore the foundations of hand building with clay through a sculptural lens. Your instructor, Karly, will lead you through demos every class that will help build your knowledge and understanding of creating ceramic forms. Karly's sculptural work has such a strong identity, and this class will foster the same for students as well! We recommend coming in with sketches or print outs of other sculptural pieces that inspire you to continue to develop your own artistic voice.
Open studio
Open studio hours will be offered every week, after the first week of class plus an additional few open studios after the session has ended to complete glazing. Open Studio will be non-instructional studio time for enrolled students to work on their projects. Enrollment for open studio days will open one week prior.
Supplies
Price does not include clay or tools. We only allow students to use one of the 4 clay bodies we carry in our shop: Cinco Rojo, Cino Blanco, Buffalo Wallow and Seckled Buff. If you would like us to provide you with a bag of clay and / or a pottery toolkit, those can be purchased now or on our Supplies Page at any point in time and we will have them ready for you on your first day.
