Studio policies
Ages 18+
Full refunds are available up to two weeks before the start date of your class. No refunds are able to be issued past that point.
If you are new to the Club House, attendance at the first class of the session is mandatory
Experience
All levels welcome! Come to learn the basics or expand on previous knowledge - either way we’ve got you covered.
In this class, students will explore various hand-building and surface design techniques. You can expect to learn all about texture work and other surface techniques such as Sgraffito and Mishima in order to design detailed images on your pieces. Your instructor Katie (see photos of her personal work in the carousel) will lead you through combining forms and decoration to encourage your own unique artistic voice! We also recommend you bring your own sketches or print outs of your favorite motifs, patterns and images to start your process.
Open studio
Open studio hours will be offered every week, after the first week of class plus an additional few open studios after the session has ended to complete glazing. Open Studio will be non-instructional studio time for enrolled students to work on their projects. Enrollment for open studio days will open one week prior.
Supplies
Price does not include clay or tools. We only allow students to use one of the 4 clay bodies we carry in our shop: Cinco Rojo, Cino Blanco, Buffalo Wallow and Seckled Buff. If you would like us to provide you with a bag of clay and / or a pottery toolkit, those can be purchased now or on our Supplies Page at any point in time and we will have them ready for you on your first day.
