**If you are new to the Club House, attendance at the first class of the session is mandatory**
All levels welcome! Come to learn the basics or expand on previous knowledge - either way we’ve got you covered.
In this class, students will explore various hand-building and surface design techniques. You can look forward to creating custom ceramic stamps, texture rollers, and stencils to use on your own slab vessels and tiles/ornaments. In addition to texture work, other surface techniques such as Sgraffito and Mishima will be taught and used to design detailed images on your pieces. We recommend you bring your own sketches or print outs of your favorite motifs, patterns and images to start your process!
Open studio hours will be offered every week, after the first week of class plus an additional few open studios after the session has ended to complete glazing. This will be non-instructional studio time for enrolled students to work on their projects. Enrollment for open studio days will open one week prior.
Price does not include open studio, clay or tools. If you would like us to provide you with a bag of clay and / or a pottery toolkit, those can be purchased now or on our Products Page at any point in time and we will have them ready for you on your first day of class. If you would like to purchase your own clay and tools, please purchase a bag of Cinco Blanco, Cinco Rojo or Buffalo Wallow from our local ceramic store, Armadillo Clay :)
