You're welcome to bring in snacks and beverages from home to enjoy during this time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eABOUT THE CLASS:\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis one-day workshop explores the making of lidded vessels on the potter’s wheel, focusing on the technical relationship between two independently thrown forms that are designed to function as one.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThrough demonstrations and guided exercises, participants will explore different approaches to throwing lids and galleries, learning how to control measurements, proportions, thickness, and fit while working with the natural movement and shrinkage of clay.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBeyond the technical challenge of achieving a precise fit, the workshop will look at the lid as an integral part of the overall form.
