In this one-day workshop, participants will create a one-of-a-kind ceramic purse using tar paper templates and slab-building techniques. Inspired by the construction of sewn handbags, we’ll transform flat clay slabs into dimensional forms while covering pattern making, seams, handles, and structural details.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThen it’s time to make it your own - add cut-outs, handles, and sculptural embellishments. Think handbag meets sculpture: playful, strange, fancy, or fabulously impractical. Along the way, we’ll explore tar paper as a versatile tool for creating all kinds of functional and sculptural ceramic forms.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"\"\u003eOnce you leave, don't worry about your pot!
